"Redemption" significa redenzione, liberazione dal peccato attraverso una penitenza; ha anche però il significato di liberazione dalla schiavitù, dall'oppressione. Bob canta proprio questo, canta la libertà, canta la redenzione. La sua rilassata voce aderisce perfettamente al suono delle dure corde di chitarra, già dalle prime note Marley scalda il cuore di chi ascolta raccontando una storia
